Gulftainer has unveiled an ambitious plan to expand its logistics footprint in Khor Fakkan, reinforcing the UAE port’s role as a strategic gateway for regional and international trade. The initiative is aimed at transforming Khor Fakkan into a fully integrated logistics hub by enhancing port infrastructure, warehousing capacity, and multimodal transport connectivity.

The expansion strategy includes the development of advanced logistics facilities, value-added distribution services, and modern supply chain solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of global shippers. By strengthening the integration of port operations with inland logistics and transportation networks, Gulftainer intends to improve cargo handling efficiency and reduce transit times for customers across key trade corridors.

Located on the UAE’s eastern coast outside the Strait of Hormuz, Khor Fakkan enjoys a strategic position on major East–West shipping routes, making it an important transshipment and gateway port for cargo moving between Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Gulftainer’s planned investments are expected to enhance the port’s competitiveness and attract additional cargo volumes from international shipping lines and logistics providers.

The company also plans to leverage digital technologies and automation to streamline logistics operations, improve cargo visibility, and deliver more efficient end-to-end supply chain services. Enhanced warehousing, freight forwarding, customs support, and last-mile distribution capabilities will enable customers to benefit from a broader range of integrated logistics solutions.

Industry analysts believe the expansion aligns with growing demand for resilient and diversified supply chains as businesses seek strategic logistics hubs capable of supporting regional distribution and international trade. The project is also expected to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global logistics and maritime centre while contributing to economic growth and trade facilitation.

Through its expanded vision for Khor Fakkan, Gulftainer aims to create a world-class logistics ecosystem that supports customers with greater operational efficiency, enhanced connectivity, and flexible supply chain solutions, further cementing the port’s role as a key logistics gateway in the region.
