Gulftainer has further strengthened its U.S. operations after successfully completing a complex heavy-lift cargo project at the Canaveral Cargo Terminal (CCT), supporting a major customer in the space industry.

The operation involved the discharge of three oversized tanks, each weighing more than 110 metric tons. The project required detailed planning, specialized lifting equipment, and close coordination among terminal teams to ensure safe and efficient handling.

According to the company, all three units were discharged and transferred within a single day, demonstrating the terminal’s capability to manage high-value and time-sensitive heavy-lift cargo operations.

Gulftainer’s U.S. subsidiary, GT USA, deployed experienced personnel and advanced cargo-handling equipment to execute the move, ensuring the safe delivery of the sensitive cargo while meeting operational timelines.

The successful project underscores the growing importance of Canaveral Cargo Terminal as a logistics hub for the expanding aerospace and space sectors along Florida’s Space Coast. With increasing demand for specialized project cargo services, Gulftainer said it remains committed to providing tailored logistics solutions and reliable infrastructure to support complex cargo movements.

The operation also highlights CCT’s expanding role in handling oversized and heavy-lift shipments linked to the region’s rapidly growing space industry.
