Haldia Container Terminal (HICT) has achieved another milestone with the recent call of MV SITC RUIDE, operated by J M Baxi in SITC’s direct China service. The vessel recorded an all-time high interchange of 2,385 TEU, surpassing the previous record of 2,280 TEU set by SITC ZHI in August 2025.

The vessel sailed on 22nd September 2025, marking back-to-back records within a short span and reaffirming HICT and Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) as an emerging hub for international trade and containerized cargo movement.

The achievement was made possible through the collaboration of stakeholders, shipping line partners, and the unwavering support of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK). Their continued guidance, along with the dedication of the HICT team, has enabled the terminal to consistently push the boundaries of operational excellence.
