Hapag-Lloyd has decided to implement a General Rate Increase (GRI) from Latin America East Coast ports to North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

The GRI of US$300 per container will be effective from 10 August until further notice and will be applied for both dry and reefer boxes.

The German shipping company noted that Latin America’s East Coast includes the ports in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, while North America includes the United States, Canada and Mexico.
