Hapag-Lloyd has suspended new bookings to Aden, Yemen, until further notice, citing the ongoing regional situation.

The carrier has also confirmed that feeder services to Aden remain suspended, making it currently unable to provide a reliable onward connection for cargo destined for the Yemeni port.

For shipments already booked or currently in transit, Hapag-Lloyd has outlined several alternatives for customers.

Customers may request a change of destination to another Upper Gulf location, subject to operational feasibility and applicable charges.

For cargo already discharged in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, customers may opt to terminate the shipment and clear the cargo locally, subject to Saudi customs and regulatory requirements.

Another option is to request the return of cargo to its origin, although this too will be subject to operational feasibility and additional costs.

Hapag-Lloyd has advised customers with affected shipments to contact their local Customer Service teams to discuss and coordinate the available options.

The suspension is expected to remain in place until further notice, depending on developments in the regional situation.
