Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is strengthening its road logistics operations in Germany through an agreement to acquire Honold Logistik Gruppe’s road freight activities.

The transaction is expected to expand Hellmann’s domestic road network and strengthen its ability to provide integrated transport and logistics services to customers across Germany.

The acquisition will add additional locations, customers and operational capabilities to Hellmann’s existing road freight business. It is also expected to improve network coverage and provide greater capacity for domestic and cross-border shipments.

Germany is a key market for Hellmann’s European road logistics operations, with the country serving as an important manufacturing and distribution centre. A stronger domestic network will allow the company to connect industrial customers and distribution hubs more efficiently.

The deal also reflects continued consolidation in the European logistics sector, as operators seek to expand their geographic reach and achieve greater scale amid changing customer requirements and competitive pressures.

Hellmann plans to integrate the acquired operations into its existing network while maintaining service continuity for customers. The combined platform is expected to offer broader road freight capabilities and improved connectivity across Germany.

The acquisition further supports Hellmann’s strategy of strengthening its European logistics network and expanding its position in road freight, while providing customers with a wider range of transport and supply-chain solutions.
