HMM has upgraded its Trans-Pacific East Coast (EC) service, introducing a direct call from Cai Mep to the U.S. East Coast on the EC2 service.

The enhancement optimises transit times, expands connectivity, and offers more flexible shipping options for global customers.

For EC2, the eastbound rotation now includes Cai Mep while Xiamen has been removed, and the westbound route has shifted to Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) routing with new calls at Halifax and Singapore, replacing Manzanillo and Pusan.

Eastbound voyages will commence with HMM Victory 0058E, ETA Cai Mep 22 December 2025, while westbound voyages will begin with Hyundai Pluto 0043W, ETA Halifax 10 December 2025.

EC1 eastbound operations remain unchanged, while the westbound rotation now adds Manzanillo and Busan.

The first effective voyages are Hyundai Saturn 0051E eastbound, ETA Kaohsiung 27 December 2025, and Conti Contessa 0022W westbound, ETA Manzanillo 16 December 2025.

For EC3, eastbound operations are unchanged, and westbound voyages will omit Halifax, with imports shifted to EC2 as an alternative.

Effective voyages include ONE Minato 0028E eastbound, ETA Laem Chabang 27 December 2025, and ONE Munchen 0042W westbound, ETA Jacksonville 30 November 2025.

In November, HMM partnered with B-International Shipping and Logistics, part of the BGN group, to form a joint venture, HMMB INT Shipping Pte. Ltd, in Singapore, aiming to expand its Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) transportation operations.
