Hong Kong Air Cargo will expand its international charter network with the launch of round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Brisbane, Australia, from August 29, 2026. The new service will operate once a week on Saturdays, strengthening the carrier’s connectivity between East Asia and Oceania.
Brisbane will become the latest addition to Hong Kong Air Cargo’s growing charter network as the carrier seeks to expand its presence in key international markets. The service is expected to create additional airfreight capacity for trade flows between China, Australia and wider Asia-Pacific markets.
The Brisbane operation follows the carrier’s recent expansion into India, where it launched dedicated charter flights between Hong Kong and Navi Mumbai earlier in August. The continued rollout of charter services reflects Hong Kong Air Cargo’s strategy of developing new long-haul cargo links in response to changing market demand.
The carrier operates a fleet comprising Airbus A330 freighters, including production freighters and converted aircraft. Its expanding network covers destinations across Asia, Europe and other international markets, with the latest Brisbane addition strengthening its Australia footprint.
The new route is expected to provide exporters and importers with additional cargo capacity and more direct connectivity between Hong Kong and Queensland, supporting growing trade and logistics links across the Asia-Pacific region.
