    Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (HCSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL), has signed a contract with Heritage River Journeys Pvt. Ltd. for the construction of an 80-passenger luxury river cruise vessel — the second in its series to be built under IR Class certification.

    The agreement was formalised by Shri Raj Singh, CMD, Antara Cruises, and Shri Sreejith K. Narayanan, CEO, Hooghly CSL, in the esteemed presence of Shri Madhu S Nair, CMD, CSL; Shri Jose V.J., Director (Finance); Dr. Harikrishnan S., Director (Operations); and Shri Vineet Arora, COO, Heritage River Journeys Pvt. Ltd.

    This milestone reinforces the growing collaboration between India’s shipbuilding sector and the inland tourism industry. The new vessel will enhance premium river cruising experiences and support the expanding potential of India’s inland waterways as a world-class tourism destination.
