Icelandair Cargo will enter the Turkish market in the coming days with the launch of a new service to Istanbul.
The service launches on 5 September and will operate four times per week between Keflavik and Istanbul using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
Globe Air Cargo Turkiye, which will act as the airline’s GSA in Turkey, said the flights will target sectors such as textiles, automotive parts and machinery.
Icelandair will also offer connections to the US and other European locations.

The move is the second expansion of markets for Icelandair Cargo this year after the airline signed an interline agreement with Uzbekistan-based My Freighter in May.
