Ignazio Messina & C. has strengthened its temperature-controlled shipping capabilities with the addition of 200 new 40-foot PL CAI reefer containers, reinforcing its commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality cold chain logistics for global customers.

The newly acquired containers are equipped with Daikin ZESTIA refrigeration units, Active Controlled Atmosphere (ACA) technology, Global Tracking, and Remote Monitoring & Control systems. These advanced features are designed to maintain precise temperature and atmospheric conditions, helping preserve the freshness and quality of perishable cargo throughout transit.

The investment significantly enhances the company’s refrigerated cargo capacity while enabling customers to benefit from the latest technologies in cold chain transportation. By ensuring greater visibility, monitoring, and control, the new reefer fleet supports the safe movement of temperature-sensitive products across international markets.

Ignazio Messina offers integrated shipping and logistics services connecting the Mediterranean, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and East & Southern Africa. Through a single point of contact, the company manages the entire supply chain—from cargo collection at origin to final delivery—providing seamless and efficient logistics solutions.

The fleet expansion reflects Ignazio Messina’s ongoing strategy to invest in advanced logistics infrastructure and strengthen its position in the global refrigerated shipping market. The company said that preserving product quality throughout the supply chain remains central to creating value for customers, continuing its long-standing commitment to excellence since its establishment in 1921.
