Global alternative investment firm Investcorp has acquired 20Cube 3PL Solutions, a digital-first contract logistics platform in India, in a deal valued at approximately ₹500 crore. The investment marks Investcorp’s latest move to expand its presence in India’s rapidly growing logistics sector.

The transaction will see Investcorp partner with 20Cube’s founding team, Anand Seetharaman and Ranjan Kedia, to accelerate the company’s next phase of growth. The partnership will focus on expanding 20Cube’s service portfolio and strengthening its position in contract logistics as manufacturing activity and supply-chain demand increase across India.

As part of the growth strategy, Investcorp and 20Cube plan to deploy an additional ₹500 crore to ₹750 crore to acquire complementary contract logistics businesses. These bolt-on acquisitions are expected to help build a larger integrated logistics platform and expand 20Cube’s geographic and service capabilities.

20Cube operates a technology-enabled logistics network covering more than 85 locations globally, with over 68 warehouses and around 8 million sq. ft. of optimised storage capacity. Its services span international trade, warehousing, fulfilment and supply-chain solutions, serving industries ranging from manufacturing and retail to healthcare and technology.

The acquisition comes at a time when India’s contract logistics market is benefiting from rising manufacturing activity, organised retail, e-commerce and the increasing outsourcing of supply-chain operations. Companies are increasingly turning to 3PL providers for warehousing, inventory management, distribution and technology-enabled logistics services.

Investcorp sees significant long-term opportunities in India, particularly as the country strengthens its manufacturing base and develops more sophisticated supply chains. The firm has previously invested in India’s warehousing sector, including a ₹500 crore follow-on investment in NDR Warehousing in 2023.

For 20Cube, the partnership with Investcorp is expected to provide additional capital and strategic support for organic expansion as well as acquisitions. The planned bolt-on strategy could enable the company to broaden its customer base, increase warehouse and distribution capabilities and offer more integrated logistics solutions.

The deal also highlights growing investor interest in India’s logistics infrastructure, where the shift toward outsourced supply-chain management is creating opportunities for consolidation. With additional acquisitions planned, the Investcorp-20Cube platform could emerge as a larger player in India’s contract logistics market over the coming years.
