Hyderabad-based Jassper Shipping has announced plans to invest US$50 million over the next three years to expand its project logistics, bulk and breakbulk cargo operations in India. The investment is aimed at strengthening the company’s capabilities in heavy-lift transportation, vessel chartering and multimodal cargo solutions.
The capital will be infused by the company’s promoters in phases and will support the expansion of project-logistics infrastructure, bulk and breakbulk cargo handling, technology-driven logistics planning and operations across key industrial and port-led corridors.
The first phase involves a US$10 million investment focused on Jassper Shipping’s B2B project logistics business. The company plans to target sectors including power, steel, petrochemicals, heavy engineering, manufacturing and large infrastructure projects.
The expansion will also strengthen specialised transportation and port-to-plant logistics capabilities, while supporting vessel chartering and integrated multimodal freight solutions for oversized, heavy and mission-critical cargo.
Jassper Shipping said India’s continued investment in industrial corridors, manufacturing, renewable energy, ports and major infrastructure projects is generating growing demand for specialised logistics providers capable of handling complex cargo movements.
Pushpank Kaushik, CEO and Head of Business Development for the Subcontinent, Middle East and Southeast Asia at Jassper Shipping, said the investment reflects the company’s long-term commitment to building capabilities across project cargo, breakbulk logistics, vessel chartering and integrated industrial supply chains.
The company, which has more than three decades of experience, provides services including project cargo management, breakbulk handling, ship chartering, customs brokerage, stevedoring and port agency services.
The investment is also expected to strengthen Jassper Shipping’s presence across India and the Gulf, enabling it to expand cross-border project logistics and specialised freight services for EPC companies, manufacturers and infrastructure developers.
With India’s industrial and infrastructure activity continuing to generate demand for heavy and oversized cargo transportation, the company expects the new investment programme to support higher capacity, broader network coverage and more integrated logistics solutions over the coming years.
