Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has achieved its highest-ever monthly throughput, handling 695,968 TEUs of containers equivalent to 8.56 million metric tonnes (MMT), reinforcing its position as India’s premier container handling port.

In a parallel initiative to enhance maritime expertise, JNPA, in collaboration with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, hosted a five-day seminar on ‘Dredging Technologies’ at the JNPA-APEC Port Training Centre. The programme brought together global experts and port professionals to exchange knowledge, discuss innovations, and explore sustainable practices in port operations.

Adding to the list of milestones, JNPA welcomed IFS official batches for deliberations on India’s maritime future, underlining the port’s role in advancing trade, talent development, and international cooperation.

In another landmark, MSC Ivana berthed at PSA Mumbai (BMCT) Terminal with a record draft of 16.35 metres — the deepest ever at JNPort. This achievement highlights the port’s growing capabilities in accommodating next-generation vessels, strengthening its global competitiveness.

“With these achievements, JNPA continues to steer towards excellence, innovation, and growth, reaffirming our commitment to driving India’s maritime development,” the port authority said in a statement.
