Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), in collaboration with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, has commenced a five-day training programme on “Smart Port Technologies – Transforming Port Operations with Intelligent Digital Solutions.”

The programme was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Shri Girish Thomas, Chief General Manager (Traffic), JNPA, and Shri Balasaheb Pawar, Dy. Conservator, JNPA, in the presence of JNPA officials and distinguished faculty members.

The training programme brings together officials from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW) and Major Ports across India. It provides a platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building and exposure to emerging digital technologies that are transforming modern port operations.

The programme focuses on strengthening participants’ understanding of smart port technologies and intelligent digital solutions, supporting the adoption of technology-driven approaches to improve efficiency, connectivity and operational performance.

Through such international knowledge-sharing and capacity-building initiatives, JNPA continues to strengthen its focus on digitalisation, innovation and smart port development, contributing to the creation of a more efficient, intelligent and future-ready maritime ecosystem.
