Deendayal Port Authority has achieved a historic milestone by recording the highest-ever single-day cargo handling by an Indian port, processing 7.78 lakh tonnes of cargo in just 24 hours on June 26, 2026.
The achievement establishes a new national record for single-day cargo handling, underscoring the port’s growing operational efficiency, robust infrastructure, and ability to manage high cargo volumes across multiple commodities.
The record-breaking performance reflects the coordinated efforts of port officials, terminal operators, shipping lines, stevedores, logistics partners, and the wider port community, reinforcing Kandla’s position as one of India’s leading maritime trade gateways.
