Kuehne+Nagel has opened a 2,800-square-metre Container Freight Station in Bangkok, near Laem Chabang Port, to support growth in Asia.
Kuehne+Nagel intends to boost efficiency and reduce the environmental effect of logistics operations by developing its Less-than-Container Load (LCL) and integrated logistics capabilities at this location.
The company’s new CFS enables quicker and more efficient cargo consolidation and deconsolidation, while the use of electric vehicle (EV) transportation for all LCL pick-ups in Thailand saves carbon emissions.
This investment reportedly supports the Port Authority of Thailand’s (PAT) objective of transforming all of its ports into smart, sustainable hubs by 2030.
Kuehne+Nagel actively supports PAT’s carbon neutrality strategy and larger infrastructure enhancements by including EV mobility, therefore contributing to Thailand’s local growth.

In February, the company renewed its strategic collaboration with Acer Europe to decarbonise sea shipments by using biofuel.
