Kuehne+Nagel is strengthening its presence in India with the launch of five new fulfilment centres across the country, adding 100,000 sqm of logistics capacity. The new facilities are located in Gurgaon, Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai and Rajpura, bringing the company’s total fulfilment footprint in India to nearly 500,000 sqm.
This expansion is expected to generate over 1,500 new jobs nationwide, supporting local economies and enhancing supply chain efficiency across key industries.
India is projected to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2030, with strong growth in high-tech, automotive, consumer goods, and healthcare. Rising demand in these sectors is driving the need for scalable, high-performance logistics infrastructure—a gap Kuehne+Nagel aims to address.
The new fulfilment centres feature advanced automation technologies, including telescopic conveyors and high-performance sorting systems, enabling a 75% increase in peak order handling capacity.
Strategically located across tier-1 cities (Mumbai, Kolkata), tier-2 hubs (Gurgaon, Nagpur) and tier-3 Rajpura, the network aligns with India’s multi-city industrial growth. Gurgaon and Nagpur are rapidly developing as multi-industry hubs, while Rajpura is emerging as a manufacturing and distribution hotspot.
“India is a key growth market for Kuehne+Nagel,” said Damian Raczynski, Senior Vice President, Contract Logistics, Kuehne+Nagel Asia Pacific. “We invest where our customers are — and this expansion strengthens our ability to serve high-demand sectors like consumer and healthcare with speed, reliability, and flexibility.”
With this investment, Kuehne+Nagel reinforces its position as a leading logistics provider in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
