Global logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel has upgraded its warehouse management system (WMS) across its global logistics network, marking a significant step in its digital transformation strategy aimed at improving operational efficiency, inventory visibility, and customer service.

The enhanced warehouse platform integrates advanced automation, real-time data analytics, and cloud-based technologies to streamline warehouse operations, optimise inventory management, and accelerate order fulfilment. The modernised system is designed to support increasingly complex supply chains while providing customers with greater transparency and end-to-end visibility.

The rollout spans Kuehne+Nagel’s warehousing facilities worldwide and is expected to standardise operational processes across multiple regions. The upgraded WMS will enable faster processing of inbound and outbound shipments, improve inventory accuracy, and enhance the company’s ability to respond to changing customer requirements across industries including healthcare, automotive, retail, consumer goods, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing.

The new system also supports greater integration with automation technologies such as robotics, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and digital tracking tools, helping warehouses increase productivity while reducing operational complexity. Enhanced data capabilities will allow customers to monitor inventory levels, shipment status, and warehouse performance in real time.

Kuehne+Nagel said the modernisation initiative reinforces its commitment to building smarter, more resilient supply chains through digital innovation. By deploying a unified warehouse management platform across its global network, the company aims to improve scalability, strengthen operational consistency, and deliver more efficient logistics solutions as demand for integrated supply chain services continues to grow.
