L&T’s Minerals & Metals (M&M) vertical has secured a repeat order for setting up freight handling facilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The contract, awarded by a leading railway company in the GCC, is part of its multi-phase capacity expansion plan.

The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of freight handling facilities with advanced automation and control at two locations, along with an add-on package.

“With this prestigious project, M&M further solidifies its reputation as a leader in freight handling facility projects. The repeat order from GCC’s largest railway company highlights M&M’s proven capabilities in delivering EPC projects matching international standards in quality, safety, and ontime completion,” said D K Sen, Executive Committee Member and Advisor to the CMD, L&T.

L&T has executed several freight handling facilities across railway corridors in India and the Middle East. The company’s M&M vertical provides EPC solutions across mining, minerals processing, industrial products, and material handling. Its product business caters to industries such as mining, cement, steel, fertilisers, and ports.
