Luminous Power Technologies has secured multiple orders to set up 350 MW of solar power projects in Rajasthan under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, the company stated in a press release.
Under the project structure, electricity generated from the solar plants will be sold to local distribution companies (discoms), supporting Rajasthan’s renewable energy targets and strengthening decentralised power generation.
The combined installations are expected to generate around 500–560 million units of electricity annually. This could help offset an estimated 4.02 lakh to 4.59 lakh tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year, an impact equivalent to planting approximately 19–22 million trees, according to the company.
The projects will be executed in a phased manner, with implementation scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
Commenting on the development, Preeti Bajaj, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Luminous Power Technologies, said the 350 MW capacity addition under the PM-KUSUM scheme marks a significant milestone for the company and reinforces its commitment to India’s clean energy transition.
Launched in 2019, the PM-KUSUM scheme aims to add 34,800 MW of solar capacity by March 2026, primarily through decentralised and farmer-linked solar projects across the country.
