Mahindra Logistics Ltd., an integrated logistics solutions provider, on Wednesday announced the launch of a warehousing facility in Phaltan, Maharashtra. This strategic development further strengthens the logistics landscape, with over 3 lakh sq. ft. of the mega site already operational as a dedicated hub for Cummins India, a prominent provider of power solutions.

The new facility is aimed at optimising Cummins India’s nationwide operations by consolidating products from multiple sources into one central location, thereby enhancing efficiency and streamlining their supply chain.

“India’s emergence as the world’s fourth largest economy reflects the power of industrial innovation, agile supply chains, and future ready infrastructure. As a key enabler of this transformation, logistics is evolving and becoming smarter in response to today’s dynamic economy,” Hemant Sikka, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Logistics Limited.

The facility includes comprehensive services such as site identification, greenfield development, and the unification of manufacturing and distribution operations.

The facility is expected to play a crucial role in supporting agile manufacturing operations, contributing to a more responsive and efficient production cycle.

According to the company’s statement, the warehouse runs on renewable energy and integrates sustainable features such as solar panels and advanced water treatment systems. It will also generate over 500 employment opportunities for local communities.
