The dredging operations, undertaken by DRAVO S.A. (owned by Van Oord), are being conducted with the trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) HAM 317.

The Port of Lisbon is a large European port on the Atlantic coast, with a geo-strategic position that gives it an outstanding status in international trade logistics chains and on the main cruise circuits.

The port’s hinterland extends to the Portuguese regions in the centre of the country, Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, the Alentejo and the Algarve, as well as to the Spanish regions of Extremadura and Andalusia.
