The Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) has launched the “MILAHA INTA GULF EXPRESS” service by Milaha at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.

The service links Dammam with ports in Umm Qasr, Hamad, Shuwaikh, Jebel Ali, and Sohar, with a capacity of 1,015 TEUs.

This service boosts global maritime connectivity, supporting Saudi imports and exports.

Part of MAWANI’s strategy to strengthen partnerships with major shipping lines, this initiative aligns with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.

In February, MAWANI announced the addition of five new shipping services by the Gemini Cooperation to Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and Jubail Commercial Port.

One month later, DP World and MAWANI unveiled the new South Container Terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, marking a significant development in DP World’s SAR 3 billion ($800 million) expansion and development programme to upgrade the terminal.
