The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the highest annual increase in the number of export containers shipped through its ports in October 2025, reaching 127,844 TEUs.

This reflects the Kingdom’s growing export capabilities and the development of its infrastructure and port capacity.

The growth in export containers contributes to several economic benefits, including strengthening the stability of global supply chains and increasing the volume of exports and their access to global markets.

This increase also reflects the success of efforts to develop the Kingdom’s ports and enhance maritime–rail integration to enable the efficient transport of exports to and from ports.

This contributes to creating a more competitive export environment, stimulating growth in productive sectors, and increasing the maritime sector’s contribution to the GDP.
