    The Ministry of Steel will conduct an Open House on July 29–30, 2025 to discuss matters related to the Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS), Quality Control Orders (QCOs), and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the import of steel. The meeting will be held in the Steel Room, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi.

    Companies and industry associations may present their issues during the Open House. To participate, stakeholders must email tech-steel@nic.in to receive a confirmed time slot for the given dates.

    Participation guidelines
    Industry associations may request a single time slot to raise issues concerning their members. The number of participants per association is capped at 15 due to space limitations.

    The email requesting participation must include:

    • Name of the company or association
    • Whether the issue is related to SIMS, NOC, QCO, or other
    • Names and number of proposed participants
    • Preferred date (29 or 30 July 2025)
    • Reference to SIMS/NOC application, if applicable
    • Industry and product type (e.g. auto, aerospace, telecom, defence)
    • Brief summary of the issue (maximum 50 words)
    • Contact details of the nodal person, including mobile number and email

    The Open House will run from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Time slots will be communicated via email. Walk-ins will not be accommodated.

    The ministry has advised that any company or association with concerns related to SIMS, QCOs, or NOCs for steel imports send a request to the above-mentioned email to secure a time slot.
