The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways convened a stakeholder consultation meeting with terminal operators and other key industry representatives to review the implementation and progress of the One Nation One Port Process (ONOP) initiative.
The meeting focused on streamlining and standardising operational processes across Indian ports to improve efficiency, reduce logistics costs, and enhance the ease of doing business. Officials and industry participants discussed measures to accelerate the adoption of uniform procedures and strengthen coordination across the country’s port ecosystem.
According to the Ministry, the consultation featured constructive discussions on advancing transparency, operational efficiency, and digital integration in port operations. Stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the successful implementation of the ONOP initiative.
The Ministry said the One Nation One Port Process initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of developing world-class ports and positioning India as a leading global maritime and logistics hub. The initiative is expected to play a key role in modernising port operations and promoting seamless trade and logistics across the country.
