MSC has expanded its Mexico Gulf Express service by adding three additional US ports, strengthening connectivity between the United States and Mexico’s Gulf Coast.
The expanded service is expected to provide shippers with more routing options for moving containerised cargo between key US and Mexican markets. The additional port calls will also broaden MSC’s coverage across the Gulf region and support trade flows between the two countries.
The Mexico Gulf Express is designed to facilitate efficient regional connections for exporters and importers, particularly those serving manufacturing, retail, automotive and other industries dependent on reliable container shipping.
The expansion comes as demand for regional and nearshoring-related logistics services continues to grow in North America. Improved maritime links between US and Mexican ports can help businesses diversify supply chains and strengthen access to production and consumption centres.
With the additional US port calls, MSC is further developing its service network in the Gulf and offering customers greater flexibility for cross-border cargo movements.
