A business meet aimed at strengthening export-import (EXIM) logistics from the Mysore region was held on April 25, 2026, in Mysore, bringing together key stakeholders from across the trade ecosystem.
The event was organized by New Mangalore Port Authority in association with the Mysore Chamber of Commerce & Industry. It witnessed participation from shipping lines, exporters, and importers, all focused on enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of regional EXIM operations.
Discussions at the meet centered on improving cargo movement through better infrastructure, enhanced connectivity, and the reduction of logistical bottlenecks. Stakeholders explored collaborative strategies to streamline supply chains and accelerate trade flows from the Mysore region.
A key highlight of the session was a presentation by M. P. Vijay Kumar, Chief Manager at Container Corporation of India (CONCOR). He outlined the facilities and services of the upcoming Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Kadakola, Mysore, noting that the terminal is expected to commence EXIM operations in the near future.
The Kadakola MMLP is poised to play a transformative role in the region’s logistics landscape. By enabling seamless multimodal connectivity, reducing transit times, and facilitating efficient cargo handling, the park is expected to significantly strengthen regional supply chains and support business growth.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment among participants to leverage emerging infrastructure and foster collaboration to enhance the Mysore region’s EXIM competitiveness and trade efficiency.
