Japan’s Nagase & Co., Ltd. and Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (NX Group) have signed a landmark MoU to develop a high-tech supply chain for semiconductor front-end manufacturing materials in Dholera, Gujarat. The partnership combines Nagase’s expertise in specialty chemical distribution with NX Group’s global leadership in precision semiconductor logistics.

The collaboration will support the operationalization of the Dholera Special Investment Region, anchored by the $11 billion Tata–PSMC semiconductor mega fab, which has entered the equipment installation phase. Key focus areas include dangerous goods management, just-in-time logistics, and proximity-based supply networks to support ultra-sensitive front-end processes.

The alliance aligns with Nagase’s ACE 2.0 growth strategy targeting the Global South and NX Group’s Business Plan 2028, which prioritizes semiconductor logistics. Both companies said the partnership will help de-risk global semiconductor supply chains and strengthen India’s emergence as a major semiconductor manufacturing hub by 2030.
