Under the CSR Initiative of the Northern India Steamer Agents Association (NISAA), blankets were distributed to around 250 poor & needy families in Faridabad, Haryana, on 7th January 2025.
This initiative aimed to provide warm blankets to needy individuals and families who find themselves sleeping on the streets while enduring freezing conditions during the harsh winter nights. The donation of blankets will give some comfort and protection during the cold nights.
This noble cause was done with the assistance of Pratham Care Foundation – a registered NGO working for the differently abled and underprivileged of our community.
The donation was made in the presence of Sasi Nair (Nisaa President), Atul Sachdev (Vice President), Shridhar Subramaniam (Secretary), Gyan Abhishek and Ravi Kant Chauhan (Executive committee Members of Nisaa), Arti Bhalla of CMA CGM and the representative of Pratham Care Foundation.
After the donation drive and interaction with the recipients of the blankets, Sasi Nair exclaimed – “It’s a great feeling when you help someone in need – it fills your whole heart. I have been involved in community activities ever since I was a child and I am very excited and humbled to be a part of this Spread the Warmth Initiative of Nisaa”.
A special vote of thanks was given to Arti Bhalla, who was the torch bearer for this event, identifying the location, NGO Vendor of the Blankets, etc, and worked tirelessly to make this noble cause a great success.
