Odisha has set an ambitious target of achieving $50 billion in exports by FY2029-30, reflecting the state’s commitment to strengthening its position as a major contributor to India’s export growth. The goal is part of a broader strategy to enhance industrial competitiveness, diversify export products, and attract higher investments across key sectors.

The state government plans to boost exports by improving logistics infrastructure, expanding port connectivity, promoting value-added manufacturing, and supporting export-oriented industries. Sectors such as minerals and metals, marine products, textiles, chemicals, engineering goods, and agro-based products are expected to play a pivotal role in driving export growth.

To achieve the target, Odisha is also focusing on simplifying trade procedures, strengthening export promotion initiatives, and encouraging micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to access international markets. The government aims to leverage its strategic coastal location, modern port infrastructure, and industrial ecosystem to enhance global trade competitiveness.

Officials believe that sustained policy support, improved ease of doing business, and growing investments in manufacturing and logistics will help Odisha significantly increase its export footprint over the next four years, contributing to both state economic growth and India’s overall export ambitions.
