Ocean Network Express (ONE) has launched its new Mozambique Coastal Link (MCL) service, expanding its regional shipping network and strengthening domestic and intra-regional container connectivity along Mozambique’s coastline. The dedicated coastal service is designed to provide more reliable and efficient transport between key Mozambican ports while supporting growing trade and logistics demand in Southeast Africa.
The Mozambique Coastal Link will connect major ports, offering regular sailings that facilitate the movement of import, export and domestic cargo. By integrating the new service with ONE’s broader global and regional network, customers will benefit from improved transit times, enhanced schedule reliability and seamless connections to international shipping routes.
According to the carrier, the MCL service aims to improve supply chain efficiency by providing an alternative to overland transport, reducing transit costs and easing pressure on road infrastructure. The service is expected to support industries such as mining, agriculture, manufacturing and retail by enabling faster distribution of containerised cargo between coastal economic centres.
The launch reflects ONE’s strategy to strengthen its presence across Africa and respond to increasing demand for regional maritime logistics solutions. As trade volumes continue to grow in the region, the new Mozambique Coastal Link is expected to enhance port connectivity, support economic development and provide customers with greater flexibility and reliability for cargo movements along the East African coast.
