Ocean Network Express (ONE) and LX Pantos have announced the completion of their joint venture, Boxlinks LLC (Boxlinks).

This partnership will combine the strengths of ONE and LX Pantos to provide end-to-end domestic intermodal transportation services, leveraging both companies’ partnerships with major rail carriers and trucking companies to ensure efficient and timely cargo delivery in the US.

Hiroki Tsujii, Global Chief Officer – Head of Product & Network at ONE, commented: “Through Boxlinks, we are transforming how we deliver value in the United States. We will build a more resilient and agile inland network that will benefit our customers in the domestic market.”

Boxlinks will offer customised services to clients in the US at reasonable pricing by leveraging access to a larger equipment pool.

According to ONE, Boxlinks allows customers to use containers for inland-to-coastal shipping, increasing supply chain efficiency.

In January, ONE reported revenue of $4.8 billion, a 44 per cent increase over the same time the prior year, with a net profit of $1.15 billion (YoY + $1.23 billion).
