Ocean Network Express (ONE) has reported revenue of $4.8 billion, a 44 per cent increase over the same time the prior year, with a net profit of $1.15 billion (YoY + $1.23 billion).

ONE noted that the Asia-North America trade showed sustained cargo flow, owing to solid consumer spending, as well as concerns over labour disputes at East Coast and Gulf ports.

The Asia-Europe commerce also saw significant cargo movement.

The full-year net profit expectation for FY2024 has been increased to $4.03 billion from $3.09 billion, as published on 31 October 2024.

Jeremy Nixon, CEO of Ocean Network Express said: “The overall business environment for container shipping continues to be generally positive, but with increased geo-political and regional economic uncertainty.

“We are expecting a relatively quick recovery in cargo volumes after the Lunar New Year. Meantime ONE will continue to closely monitor overall maritime security and landside operational constraints, whilst focusing on the smoothest possible network transition to the PREMIER Alliance, and further enhancing service quality levels to our customers”.

Recently, ONE launched a new gateway in the cities of Kolkata and Haldia, India.
