Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has added Transpacific Latin Pacific 5 (TLP5) to its Asia-Latin America network, offering complete port coverage in the area.

In addition to OOCL’s current loops TLP1, TLP2, and TLP3, the new route will provide direct links between China, Korea, and Mexico, with competitive transit times of 15 and 20 days from Qingdao to Ensenada and Manzanillo.

According to OOCL, the port rotation for TLP5 is:

    Pusan – Dalian – Ningbo – Shanghai – Qingdao – Ensenada – Manzanillo – Ensenada – Yokohama – Pusan

The new service will commence from Ningbo with an estimated time of arrival on 6 May 2024.

In February, OOCL launched its newest mega containership, the OOCL Abu Dhabi.

More recently, OOCL announced that overall revenue in the first quarter of 2024 has fallen 9 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to $2 billion.
