    Hapag-Lloyd and A.P. Moller – Maersk have reported improved schedule reliability across their jointly operated Gemini network following a series of operational adjustments aimed at stabilising service performance.

    The carriers said refinements to port rotations, buffer times, and vessel deployment have contributed to stronger on-time arrivals and smoother cargo flows on key east–west trade lanes. The measures are part of ongoing efforts to enhance predictability for customers amid persistent port congestion and shifting demand patterns.

    According to company updates, the partners have also optimised hub utilisation and transshipment planning to minimise disruptions and improve connection windows. Enhanced coordination between operational teams has supported faster recovery from delays and better equipment repositioning.

    The Gemini network, launched as a long-term operational collaboration between the two carriers, connects major trade corridors linking Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Reliability remains a central focus as shippers increasingly prioritise schedule integrity alongside freight rates.

    Industry analysts note that network stability is becoming a key competitive differentiator, particularly as global supply chains continue to adapt to geopolitical risks and fluctuating cargo volumes.

    Further service enhancements are expected in the coming months as the partners monitor performance metrics and customer feedback.
