Pearl Shipping Agencies has successfully completed shore handling, vessel agency, and stevedoring operations for the MV Noordvliet (DWT 3,850) at Tuticorin Port, demonstrating its operational expertise and commitment to service excellence.
The compact yet well-maintained vessel, known for its vibrant appearance and welcoming onboard atmosphere, was handled with precision from start to finish. The agency managed all vessel husbandry requirements, including four crew sign-offs and four sign-ons. In one instance, a sign-on crew member’s luggage was misplaced during transit. Through swift coordination, Pearl Shipping Agencies located and delivered the baggage well before the vessel’s departure.
The shipment comprised 306 packages, including wooden crates, structural components, and two heavy-lift pieces weighing 28 metric tonnes each, with a total cargo weight of approximately 750 MT. The team oversaw storage in the yard and ensured underhook delivery to the vessel, handling both standard and heavy cargo under strict safety protocols.
“This operation underscores our ability to manage diverse cargo types while delivering seamless agency, stevedoring, and shore handling services,” the company stated.
The success of the project was attributed to the combined efforts of Pearl Shipping’s welding crew, lashing gang, operators, and port captains. Their coordinated teamwork ensured smooth execution, reinforcing the company’s reputation for operational excellence.
