Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday launch, dedicate and lay the foundation stone for infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹22,655 crore across Gujarat, the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep.

The investment package covers roads, power, healthcare, aviation, industrial infrastructure, ports and tourism projects aimed at enhancing connectivity, logistics efficiency and economic development.

In Gujarat, projects worth over ₹18,800 crore will be undertaken, including the dedication of Packages VI and VII of the Vadodara–Mumbai Expressway and the foundation stone laying for the four-laning of key stretches of National Highway-56. Other projects include transmission and power distribution upgrades, effluent treatment facilities at Dahej PCPIR and Sarigam GIDC, utility infrastructure for the Jambusar Bulk Drug Park, and the inauguration of a 200-bed ESIC Hospital in Surat.

In Daman, projects valued at around ₹2,970 crore will focus on healthcare, aviation, tourism and urban development. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building of NAMO Airport and NAMO Hospital, while also laying the foundation stone for an iconic bridge, a convention centre and a NIFT campus.

In Lakshadweep, foundation stones will be laid for four port infrastructure projects worth ₹885 crore at Kalpeni and Kadmat islands. The projects include multipurpose jetties designed to improve passenger and cargo movement, strengthen maritime connectivity, and support tourism and fisheries activities.

The projects form part of the government’s infrastructure-led growth strategy, with a focus on improving regional connectivity, industrial competitiveness and public services.
