    Bhavani Shipping Services India Pvt. Ltd. has been honoured by the Mormugao Port Authority with the Award of Excellence for Stevedoring and Cargo Handling Operations at Port Operated Berths/WOB/Mooring Dolphin for the financial year 2025–26.
    The recognition was presented during the Port Stakeholders Award of Excellence Ceremony held on 22 May 2026 in Goa. The award acknowledges the company’s performance in stevedoring and cargo handling activities and its contribution to the port’s operational efficiency and cargo growth.
    The honour comes in a milestone year for Mormugao Port Authority, which recorded cargo throughput of 21.01 million metric tonnes in FY 2025–26, marking its highest cargo volume in the past five years. The port also registered a 15.91% growth rate, the highest among India’s major ports during the period.
    According to the company, the award reflects its focus on operational excellence, safety standards, service quality, and efficient cargo handling operations. Bhavani Shipping Services credited the achievement to the efforts of its workforce and the support of customers, partners, and stakeholders.
    The award ceremony was attended by industry leaders and government representatives, including Shripad Yesso Naik.
    Bhavani Shipping Services said the recognition would encourage the company to further strengthen its stevedoring, cargo handling, and maritime logistics services while continuing to support the growth of India’s port and logistics sector.
