The Port of Algeciras has recorded a container throughput of 1.17 million TEU at its two terminals, reflecting a 4.6 per cent increase in Q1 2024.
Despite the growth, these figures are still 10 per cent down on the best return for the first quarter at the Port of Algeciras.
Both terminals have served 900 containerships between them, 50 of them being megaships .
The Port of Algeciras returned cargo throughput figures of 26.6 million tonnes for Q1 2024, a 3.30 per cent growth.
