Klaipėda Container Terminal (KCT) has successfully implemented the Portchain Quay platform, marking a significant step in its digital transformation strategy to improve berth planning, vessel scheduling and overall terminal efficiency. The cloud-based solution is designed to optimise quay operations by providing real-time visibility into vessel arrivals, berth allocation and operational planning.
The deployment enables KCT to coordinate more effectively with shipping lines, port authorities and service providers through a shared digital platform. By streamlining communication and automating berth planning processes, the terminal expects to reduce waiting times, improve schedule reliability and maximise utilisation of quay infrastructure.
Portchain Quay uses predictive analytics and live operational data to support more accurate vessel arrival forecasts and dynamic berth allocation.
