PSA Mumbai has marked another significant milestone in its service network with the successful maiden call of the Khor Fakkan India Express (KIX) service. The inaugural voyage was commemorated with the arrival of MV KUO LUNG at the terminal on 14 July 2026.

The KIX service, jointly operated by GT Line and Samudera Shipping Line Ltd, provides a direct connection between Khor Fakkan (UAE), Mundra, and Nhava Sheva, further enhancing maritime trade and cargo connectivity between the Middle East and India. The new service is expected to offer customers improved transit times, greater schedule reliability, and efficient cargo movement across the region.

The launch of the KIX service underscores PSA Mumbai’s continued commitment to expanding its global shipping network and delivering world-class port services. By adding another strategic regional service to its portfolio, the terminal strengthens its role as a preferred gateway for international shipping lines and cargo owners.

The new connection is expected to support growing bilateral trade volumes while providing enhanced logistics solutions for exporters and importers operating between India and the Middle East. It also reinforces PSA Mumbai’s position as a key transshipment and container handling hub on India’s west coast.

With the addition of the KIX service, PSA Mumbai continues to broaden its service offerings, enabling seamless regional connectivity and supporting the evolving requirements of global supply chains.
