Qatar Airways Cargo has appointed IAG Cargo as its cargo handling partner at Dublin Airport, strengthening operational collaboration between the two carriers.

Under the agreement, IAG Cargo will manage ground handling and cargo processing activities for Qatar Airways Cargo’s services operating to and from Dublin. The partnership is expected to enhance service efficiency, streamline cargo transfers and improve connectivity for customers shipping goods between Ireland, the Middle East and beyond.

Dublin is an important gateway for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, technology products and perishables—sectors that require specialised cargo handling capabilities. By leveraging IAG Cargo’s local expertise and infrastructure, Qatar Airways Cargo aims to ensure smooth operations and maintain high service standards.

The move reflects growing cooperation between global air cargo operators seeking to optimise networks and strengthen presence in strategic markets. It also underscores Dublin Airport’s role as a key European cargo hub with strong transatlantic and Middle East links.

Industry observers note that closer operational alignment can help carriers improve turnaround times, reduce handling complexities and offer more integrated solutions to freight forwarders and shippers.

Further details regarding operational timelines and service enhancements are expected as the partnership becomes fully operational.
