Rear Admiral Jaswinder Singh, Director (Liner & Passenger Services) at Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI), has been assigned additional charge of Director (Bulk Carrier & Tanker) [BC&T] from July 1, 2025, for three months or until further orders.

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways conveyed the appointment following approval from the Competent Authority. The dual charge reflects Rear Admiral Singh’s extensive maritime leadership experience and ongoing contribution to India’s flagship shipping enterprise.

Since 2023, Rear Admiral Singh has led SCI’s Liner and Passenger Services segment, a key vertical in the company’s operations. He is also a Director on the Board of SCI Bharat IFSC Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of SCI, and Sethusamudram Corporation Ltd.

His new role as Director (BC&T) will place him at the helm of another critical operational arm, overseeing India’s maritime logistics in bulk cargo and tanker transport sectors vital to national trade and energy security.

Prior to joining SCI, Rear Admiral Singh had a decorated career in the Indian Navy, holding several prestigious leadership roles, including-
