    Shree Ashapura Stevedores, a prominent unit of the Ashapura Shipping Group, has recently gained attention for its registration under the Strategic Actions to Aid Growth and Rewards (SAAGAR) scheme introduced by the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA). This initiative aims to stimulate business operations and enhance the efficiency of port activities.

    This company thus, becomes the first company to get registered under this scheme for Coal & coke cargo

    The SAAGAR scheme, launched by the DPA board on March 11, 2024, is designed to incentivize traffic growth and operational efficiency at the port. Key components of the scheme include a Minimum Volume Commitment of 0.5 MMT over 11 months, supported by a Bank Guarantee, and benefits such as Dedicated Yard Space, a new Licensing Fee Structure, and Telescopic Discounts on wharfage for volumes exceeding the committed quantity1.

The company, known for its extensive experience in stevedoring and cargo handling, is poised to leverage the opportunities presented by the SAAGAR scheme to enhance its service offerings and operational efficiency.
