The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) organized an exclusive interactive session with His Excellency Mr. Azamat Yeskarayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India, on Tuesday, bringing together members of the business community to explore expanding trade, investment, and economic cooperation between India and Kazakhstan.
The session offered a platform for business leaders, entrepreneurs, exporters, investors, and industry representatives to engage directly with the Ambassador and gain insights into the growing opportunities across Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Azamat Yeskarayev highlighted Kazakhstan’s strategic location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, making it an important gateway for regional trade and investment. He outlined the country’s strong potential for collaboration with Indian businesses in sectors such as energy, mining and critical minerals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and food processing, logistics, infrastructure, engineering, and technology.
The interactive discussion focused on strengthening bilateral economic ties, enhancing business partnerships, and encouraging Indian companies to explore Kazakhstan as a preferred destination for investment and market expansion.
Participants welcomed the opportunity to interact directly with the Ambassador and discussed avenues for increasing commercial engagement, trade facilitation, and long-term business collaborations.
SICCI also announced that a Kazakhstan business delegation is scheduled to visit Chennai in September 2026, where a larger business networking and roadshow event will be organized to further strengthen trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The Chamber encouraged businesses interested in exploring opportunities in Kazakhstan and Central Asia to stay connected with SICCI for updates and participation in the upcoming roadshow.
