A Singapore-based company has partnered to develop a major cargo facility at Noida International Airport, marking a significant step in strengthening air freight infrastructure at the upcoming greenfield airport.

The planned cargo campus is expected to include modern warehousing, temperature-controlled storage, express handling zones and integrated logistics support services. The project aims to position the airport as a key cargo gateway for northern India, catering to industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, perishables and e-commerce.

Officials said the collaboration reflects growing international investor confidence in India’s aviation and logistics sectors. The cargo complex will be designed to handle substantial volumes in its initial phase, with provision for future expansion in line with traffic growth.

Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, Noida International Airport is being developed as a major aviation hub to decongest Delhi’s existing airport and boost regional connectivity. The addition of a dedicated cargo campus is expected to enhance multimodal connectivity through road and upcoming freight corridors, improving supply chain efficiency for exporters and importers.

Industry experts note that with rising air cargo demand and the rapid expansion of manufacturing in northern India, the development of advanced cargo infrastructure at Noida could significantly improve turnaround times and reduce logistics costs.

Construction timelines and investment details are likely to be announced following the completion of regulatory approvals and finalization of project agreements.
