Snowman Logistics has announced plans to establish a 6,500-pallet capacity temperature-controlled warehouse in Patna, marking a significant expansion of its cold chain network in eastern India.

The upcoming facility is being developed under a built-to-suit model by Nahar Group and is expected to become operational by January 2027.

Designed to handle a temperature range from –25°C to +20°C, the warehouse will cater to diverse sectors including seafood, ice cream, quick service restaurants (QSR), fruits and vegetables, and pharmaceuticals.

Chairman Prem Kishan Dass Gupta highlighted Bihar’s growing importance as a logistics market, citing improving infrastructure, robust agricultural output, and rising demand for temperature-controlled supply chains. He noted that the Patna facility will serve not only Bihar but also function as a regional distribution hub, enabling efficient movement of temperature-sensitive products to neighbouring markets.

With this addition, Snowman Logistics continues to strengthen its national footprint. The company currently operates 160,230 pallet positions across 22 cities, including key logistics hubs such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Pune.

The company stated that the new facility will play a crucial role in enhancing India’s cold chain infrastructure and meeting the increasing demand for temperature-controlled logistics in eastern India.
