The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has invited eligible stakeholders to participate in the development of Bulk Cement Handling Terminals, marking a significant step toward strengthening India’s rail freight ecosystem.

Through this initiative, DFCCIL aims to boost rail-based transportation of bulk cement by establishing modern, technologically advanced terminals strategically aligned with the Dedicated Freight Corridor network. These terminals are expected to leverage the corridor’s high-capacity and high-speed connectivity, enabling more efficient and sustainable cargo movement.

The move is part of DFCCIL’s broader vision to enhance multimodal logistics infrastructure, reduce dependency on road transport, and improve overall supply chain efficiency for bulk commodities such as cement.

Interested stakeholders have been invited to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) by March 31, 2026. Submissions can be made via email, with further details available on DFCCIL’s official website.

The initiative is anticipated to attract strong participation from logistics providers, cement manufacturers, and infrastructure developers, contributing to the modernization of India’s freight transportation landscape.
